What IP Reporter Antminer is needed for

How to connect and configure the program
Before searching for IP, make sure that the power supply is connected to the ASIC and there is access to the Internet. Then you need to download and install IP Reporter. After launching the utility, the ports are scanned and the miner settings are updated. The following is a step-by-step instruction for each of the items.

Download the IP Reporter program from the official Bitmain website:

Run
Before opening the utility, you need to unzip the archive to a convenient place. After that you need to:
Right-click. Then in the window that appears, select “Run as administrator”.

The program sets the Shelf, Step and Position fields to 1 at startup. There is no need to change it.
Press the Start button.
Then you need to confirm the transfer of the network address directly from the ASIC miner. To do this, press the IP Report button on the back panel and hold it down until a beep – 5 seconds.

Confirm the settings
The found IP can be used to enter the web interface of ASIC-miner management. To do this, enter it into the address bar of your browser – Chrome or Firefox. The control panel login window will appear.
The default user name “root” and password “root” are used for initial authorization.
If desired, you can change the password in the Administration tab. It is important to save it in a safe place. Otherwise, access to the miner may be lost. Then you need to click the Save&Apply button. After that, the async will reboot.
The “Miner Configuration” tab in the web panel is necessary for direct connection to the mining service. It is necessary to enter the credentials obtained during registration on the official site of the pool.

Set a password for the account.

Possible problems
Despite the simplicity of the functionality, users may encounter common difficulties when working with Antminer IP Reporter. For example, the program will not work after unpacking the archive. Also, the utility may start, but the network IP address cannot be found.
The program does not work
Most often the cause can be an active antivirus. In this case, after unzipping, the file is quarantined. To solve this, you need to manually add the utility to the exceptions and restore to the original location.
The program cannot determine the IP
If the search using the IP Reporter utility fails, a window appears with the text “Timeout. Please restart”. The reason may be incorrect settings of the miner. To fix it, you need to roll back the device to the factory firmware (Hard reset).
To do this, hold down the Reset button on the ASIC panel until the equipment starts rebooting. Then you need to repeat the IP search procedure starting from point 1.

No Internet connection
There is no need to rush through the Hard reset procedure. The reason may be that the ASIC is not connected to the Internet. You should check the power supply and tightness of the LAN cable connection to the miner’s Ethernet port.
