Nervos CKB enters the leading position in the BTCFi segment

Analysts from research company Messari stated that Q3 2024 was a key quarter for the development of the Nervos CKB network. The specialists noted: the launch of RGB++ Layer (a layer focused on supporting DeFi applications) as well as Fiber Network strengthened the blockchain’s position as the center of BTCFi. Nervos is successfully developing a UTXO ecosystem based on the core principles of the Bitcoin network, but supplementing them with functionality for smart contracts and decentralized applications. Following the launch of RGB++, the number of digital assets created on this network has skyrocketed by 487% in a quarter: from 85 in Q2 to 487 in Q3. This indicates the high activity of participants and the demand for new tools. The listing of the CKB token on South Korea’s Upbit exchange in September and new feature releases also contributed to the growth, with the total number of transactions on the blockchain increasing by 34% and new addresses increasing by 32%. These figures demonstrate not only the increase in user activity, but also the attractiveness of Nervos CKB to new market entrants.

Despite the challenging industry situation, the CKB token price and market capitalization increased by 35% and 36% over the quarter, respectively. This is due to infrastructure improvements as well as increasing interest from developers and users. The

record mining difficulty of 4.4 EH/s and stable hash rate (-1.7% for the quarter) indicate increased competition among miners. The rising value of the digital token has also made mining more attractive, which has supported the growth of the entire ecosystem. Researchers believe that Nervos CKB is actively developing new technologies and strengthening its market position. The combination of innovation and strong infrastructure makes the project one of the most promising in the BTCFi sphere.
