In the world of the fictional letter writer, there are over 19 million bitcoins in circulation, of which several hundred thousand coins are missing. The analytics company Chainalysis attributes 3.7 million BTC to those lost. The calculation includes all coins that have been lying unmoved in wallets for 5 years or more.
Luca says that on average each inhabitant of the Earth has 0.001 BTC. At the same time, the owners of 0.01 bitcoin are considered very rich people and live in “Citadels”. By this concept, the author means fortified cities in which all processes are robotized. Here live rich people, in other places risking to become victims of bandits. Citadels have arisen where bitcoins are mined. As an example, Luca calls the city ASICminer – it is a famous manufacturer of equipment for mining coins.
Initially, rich people used safes to store bitcoins, later came the services of bodyguards, then fortified fortresses emerged. At the same time, many countries ceased to exist. This is due to the use of a decentralized anonymous network through which residents made transactions. The state could not collect taxes, other functions were not performed due to the lack of a budget.
The popularity of bitcoin, according to Luca, is also due to the ability to hide its assets from fiscal authorities. The author cites a number of countries, which in the era of fiat money served as a safe haven for anyone who wanted to hide from the authorities:

There were such attempts, there were plans to use a coin with an inflationary model, but no one wanted to use it. Magnotta describes plans to save the world from the power of cryptocurrency. Together with like-minded people, he intends to cause a nuclear conflict. Destroy citadels and bitcoin, return to the normal order of society. On the same Reddit forum in 2020, a new text from yet another time traveler appeared. He called himself Aaron, the son of Luca Magnotta, writing allegedly from the year 2029.
In his letter, the messenger from the future indicates that his father was killed in 2026 by special services during an attempt to seize a nuclear power plant. At the same time bitcoin continues to thrive, the group of conspirators from the first letter could do nothing.
Aaron describes the history of Ethereum and its creator Buterin. In 2023, the Ethereum exchange rate collapsed amid accusations of plagiarism by Vitalik. Allegedly Buterin could not create a cryptocurrency in 20 years. And the developers of Etherium are a group of programmers who acted under the control of special services. The purpose of the creation is an alternative to bitcoin, which has already conquered the world, in case of its collapse.
Aaron calls another cryptocurrency – Bitcoin Gold, which boomed in 2022. According to the author of the text, this coin costs a fortune, and its owners live in citadels.
The TerraNova coin, which was created in 2017, turned out to be in demand. Its advantages are related to data protection and security, in particular, you can not:

Because of this, the World Government hired hackers in 2019. They hacked the Cryptopia exchange (no longer operational as of 2021) where the TerraNova cryptocurrency was listed.
