In the first hour of trading, 73k contracts were traded and the ratio of bullish to bearish bets was an impressive 4.4 to 1. This result puts IBIT in the top 20 most active options outside of indices, which emphasizes the growing confidence in Bitcoin as a serious asset. This success may attract a new wave of investors and create conditions for diversifying trading strategies, according to researchers at QCP Capital. Increased institutional participation helps reduce volatility and risk, which helps anchor Bitcoin in the traditional financial ecosystem. Options on other ETFs including Grayscale BTC Trust (GBTC) and Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC) are expected to be listed soon, further strengthening cryptocurrencies’ position in the markets.

Experts noted that political developments in the U.S. could play a role in supporting digital assets. New appointments in Donald Trump’s administration have attracted attention due to the inclusion of cryptocurrency enthusiasts. Elon Musk has been appointed to head the new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), while Pete Hegseth, a well-known advocate of decentralized finance, has been nominated as a candidate for Secretary of Defense.

The

latter recently announced his intention to hold on to his Bitcoin assets.

“Republican control of the Senate ensures a high chance that these nominees will be successfully confirmed. The new administration plans to confirm their cabinet before Thanksgiving, symbolizing the accelerating integration of digital assets into public policy,” the researchers assured. The current developments indicate that Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are already starting to take a key role not only in the investment agenda but also in the political agenda.
